Billing & credits
Commotion runs on a prepaid credit model. Every account has one credit wallet per product - one for Voice AI, one (in phase 2) for Universal API. Calls debit the relevant product’s wallet at the published per-unit rate.
Free credits on signup
New accounts receive a free credit grant per product on signup. The grant is enough to evaluate each API end-to-end without entering payment details.

Top-up flow
- Open the Console and pick the product wallet you want to top up.
- Choose a top-up amount or set up auto top-up at a low-balance threshold.
- Pay by card or invoice (Enterprise only). Credits land in the wallet within seconds.
Top-ups apply to the wallet you select. There is no shared balance across products.
Refunds
Unused credits do not expire while the account is active. On account closure, remaining credits from paid top-ups are refundable per the terms of service. Free signup credits are not refundable.
